If you’re feeling anxious about money, what if you acted in the opposite attitude? Instead of hoarding it, what if you were generous — tip big next time you go out to eat; give to a non-profit or someone in need; etc.
Or if you’re feeling anxious about your work — what if you acted in the opposite attitude? Instead of worrying that you had nothing of value to offer, what if you assumed your skills and ideas were of immense value and helpfulness?
Obviously, you can’t “give” your way to financial independence, or “pretend” your way into a unique and valuable skill set. But you can get yourself out of a scarcity mindset and increase your own confidence. Pair that with actual wisdom regarding finances and skill development, and you’ll be doing pretty well.
